About us.
We’re a team of former regulators, in-house compliance managers, master growers, advocates, and elected officials who also happen to be pretty fun folks to work with.
Our team members have been working in cannabis policy in the West for over a decade. When New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham launched her legalization task force, the Weeds team became the chairperson, staff, and advisors to build what became the state’s roadmap to a system built on social equity, public safety, and economic opportunity.
With legalization finally on the way, we partnered with some of the state’s largest medical cannabis companies to navigate their transition to adult use and launched the state’s first “licensing navigator” services for new entrepreneurs.
Today, Weeds. is one of the West’s fastest-growing cannabis companies and New Mexico’s only full-service cannabis service company. Our programs have been used to license over 100 facilities across New Mexico.
Our team provides seed-to-sale licensing, compliance and consulting for operators, wholesale services for established licensees, and provides industry intelligence and analysis.
Our team.

A former police officer and graduate of the FBI National Academy, Pat traded in his badge to work on public policy, and specifically drug policy.
He also serves as an elected member of the Albuquerque City Council where he wrote and passed the State’s first cannabis zoning codes and legislation decriminalizing cannabis.
